It’s the time of year to hopefully slow down a little and take stock. As a thank you for choosing to work with me or visiting, reading, commenting or liking any of my work this year, I have popped links below to some of my favourite free restorative things which may be of benefit to you or someone else over the next few weeks.
Beth Kempton – Winter Writing Sanctuary (Dec 28th – Jan 5th) (online, writing)
This is a beautiful online gentle guided writing space which is perfect for this time of year if you want to spend some time doing something restorative over the festive season.
Yoga with Adriene – Yoga For Seasonal Affective Disorder (25 mins) (online, video)
Adriene has a wealth of wonderful free yoga sessions on YouTube, and this is one of her latest offerings. Some of the sessions are more suitable if you have some experience, but if you are new to yoga, then there are also plenty of beginner sessions to try. She is a beautiful soul.
Brother Insight – Qigong (5 minutes) (online, video)
A great introduction to Qigong if you are looking for a gentle, grounding meditative practice to start the day. One of my bests told me about Brother Insight and I love starting the day with this, outside and barefoot if it’s not too wet or cold. He is a joy to behold, and there are plenty of free sessions of his on YouTube.
Intentionology by Lauren Runion – Yoga Nidre for Deep Healing Rest (30 mins) (online, audio)
This is a wonderful way to relax, recharge and refresh if you are feeling tired or in need of rest. She has many other great sessions too (on a variety of platforms).
Priorities Check Up Exercise (20 mins) (paper)
A good place to start if you are wondering how you can spend your time more effectively in 2025.
Street Wisdom – (45 mins) (online, audio, walking)
Finally, one of my most favourite ways to unlock creative thinking or to help with unsticking something if you find yourself going round in circles. Dress up warm, pop in some headphones and go for a purposeful wander.
I hope you enjoy some peace, restoration and fun over the festive season and get the chance to do something you love with people you enjoy being with.
With all good wishes
